What is UPE?
UPE is the abbreviation of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (uhmwpe).
What is ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (upe)?
1. Foreign definition
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene refers to linear structure polyethylene with an average molecular weight greater than 3 million (ISO standard)
2. Domestic definition
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene refers to linear structure polyethylene with an average molecular weight greater than 1.5 million (ASTM standard)
UPE excellent performance:
1. Wear resistance:
Superior to metals and carbon steel, brass, compared to polyethylene, typically have wear resistance tens of thousands of times.
2. Impact resistance-200 or less has excellent impact resistance.
3. Self-lubricating:
The wear coefficient is small, and it can also shake unlubricated metal surfaces.
4. chemical resistance
Excellent chemical resistance, extremely high stability in acids and alkalis.
Applications: Used in gear/railway UML sheets, screws, snowmobiles, slag hopper linings, battery separators, prosthetic materials, high-strength fibers, tapes and other fields.
Kaimeng provides super wear-resistant injection molding grade UPE particles, which are self-lubricating, corrosion-resistant, and have excellent low-temperature resistance. They are widely used in transmission and packaging fields.
